Tasty Turkey Pie


header ingredients
1tablespoon of olive oil
¼ cup of carrots  (diced)
¼ cup of peas (diced)
¼ cup of onions (diced)
3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
3 tablespoons of flour
Salt & pepper to taste
¾ lb of cooked turkey ( skin removed)
2 cups of turkey stock
2 puff pastry shells(cooked)
Every recipe can be modified to suit you and your family needs, if you prefer, you can use mash potatoe for this dish instead of pastry!!


header method
1. Heat oil in pot. Cook all vegetables together in the heated oil until soft but not mushy.
2. Add butter and allow it to melt and become hot. Add salt and pepper to taste.
3. Add flour and stir/wisk until combined. Add stock, whilst stirring constantly.
Bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat to a simmer.
4. Stir in turkey and simmer for 10 mins. Adjust seasoning as desired.

This is where you can decide!
You can A :
Place a baked puff pastry shell on a warmed dinner plate. Pour turkey mixture into and on top of the pastry shell.
Or B:
pour the scrumptious turkey mixture into a pyrex dish and place your ready made creamed mashed potatoes on top and place in the oven for 10 mins. ( Turkey sheperds pie!!)
